Young Entrepreneurs Club
Students Ages 12-18 is invited to join us a for an activity filled interactive summer camp designed to help them develop a thorough business or career plan by the end of the program.
This summer camp is offered through the Tournament Sports Foundation, a 501c3 sports organization whose mission is to help athletes develop a Plan B in case they do not make it into professional sports.
Students involved will participate in weekly activities that are outlined below that will be used to assist participants in creating an official business or career plan.
First Day – Business vs Hustle
Benefits of Being Broke
This includes interactive lessons on the fundamentals of an actual business and compares to a paid hobby. We will also discuss the definition of resources and ways to deal with adversity and inevitable life challenges
Day 2- What Companies Look For When Hiring
How Much Does It Cost To Be The Boss
This week we focus on understanding the parts of a resume and the parts and roles of business organizations with an emphasis of Human Resources. We will also focus on the ins and outs of being responsible.
Day 3- Personal Branding
This week we focus on personal branding with an emphasis on the importance of good and bad decision making and the power of forward-thinking.
Day 4- Reality Check
This week we discuss the real life scenarios of people who were once successful and later in life failed. We will review case studies as to why those people failed and discuss ways to prevent that from happening.This week we discuss credit and lending terms, how to avoid using credit prematurely, and approaches to build credit.
Day 5- Certified To Succeed
This final week we spend time reviewing all the concepts learned throughout the summer. All the activities combined will come together during this week into a completed plan of the step by step process of how each participant will be able to execute their plan.They will also receive a certificate ensuring them that they are now equipped to being successful.
Costs to Attend
$125/ week for non-athletes
$75/ week for athletes
