Tallahassee Tennis Academy has been teaching tennis to kids and adults for many years with great success. And that is not a surprise, given our high level of tennis knowledge and skill. Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our customers.
The coach, Petra Yunussov, has over 25 years of experience in teaching tennis and is passionate about the subject.
She started playing tennis when she was 7 years old, and has been an active tennis player for over 35 years.
She was ranked #2 in the whole country of Croatia where she is from for 5 consecutive years!
Most recently, she got a 6th place in the 2016 World Tennis Championship in her age category.
She is one of the top female tennis players in the Tallahassee area, and your kids have an opportunity to learn tennis from a real expert!

From Petra herself:
I am originally from Zagreb, Croatia. Tennis has always been the primary focus of my life. I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old and have been actively playing tennis for the past 35 years.
I am a type of a tennis coach who is not afraid of breaking a sweat! Standing by the basket and feeding tennis balls all lesson is not my style. I offer a student-oriented tennis program. Instructions are tailored to the age and ability level of each student!
I learned tennis from Nina Majoli, sister and coach of former pro tennis player Iva Majoli (ranked 4th in World 1997).
During my tennis career in Zagreb, Croatia I was ranked 2nd place in Croatia in category girls 14 to 16 years old, and category 16 to 18 years old.
When I was 18 years old I started working as a tennis coach at a tennis club “Gornji Grad” in Zagreb, Croatia.
My tennis career in USA started in 2000 when I received a full tennis scholarship to Valdosta State University, where I played from 2000 to 2003.
I worked as a tennis coach for the City of Valdosta between 2006 and 2009, where I was coaching and playing sparring matches with girls and boys teams from Valdosta High school.
In 2010 and 2011 I coached tennis at Brooks County High School in Quitman, GA – boys and girls team.
In 2012 and 2016 I coached winter and summer tennis camps at Golden Eagle Country Club, Tallahasee, FL.
My most recent accomplishment is winning 6th place in the 36th ITF Young Seniors World Team Championship age category women 35+.
I have a teachers certificate for grades K-12 in the States of Florida and Georgia, and I have taught High School Spanish for about 5 years. I also hold a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Certificate.
