The holiday classic, The Nutcracker, is a memory-making performance that is not just about what is behind the curtain but about the magic of the experience. Generations of families mark the holiday season by dressing up and introducing bright-eyed youngsters to the most frequently performed ballet in America and worldwide. Dancers float across the stage with George Balanchine’s choreography set to the iconic score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, performed by a live orchestra. TTB’s custom-made costumes and set bring audience members along with them into a timeless story beloved by all.
May I bring my child(ren)?
TTB welcomes children and families to experience the magic of classical ballet during its performances. While parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children, TTB recommends children be at least 3 years of age to attend performances, and highly recommends the Abbreviated Children’s Performance of “The Nutcracker” for young children. In determining if your child should attend TTB performances, it is important to know the child must be able to sit quietly and not disrupt the performance for other patrons. If a child becomes disruptive during a performance, ushers will require the child and accompanying adult to leave the auditorium without refund of the ticket purchase. All attendees, regardless of age from infant to adult, must have a ticket to enter the performance venue and must sit in the seat indicated on the ticket.
