DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Welcome to the Tallahassee Museum’s camp program!  As a nationally accredit
 ed history and natural science museum, we are excited to bring science and 
 the arts, to life through engaging hands-on activities.  Our integrated app
 roach implements creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communic
 ation into each day’s lesson plan. From encounters with wildlife to explori
 ng cultural heritage, your child will have an enriching camp experience at 
 the Tallahassee Museum.<br /><br />Day camps are designed for Kindergarten 
 – 5th graders.<br /><br />Camp is from 9am-4pm $60 members/$65 nonmember pe
 r day Extended care is 7:45am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm for $8 per day<br /><br />
 Must register online. Online registration will close 72 hours before the st
 art of camp. <br /><br />Daily Camp Themes:<br />March 10 – Jr. Zoo Keeper<
 br /><br />Campers will learn what it is like to be a zookeeper. It is impo
 rtant to have knowledge about the animals and know what makes them happy an
 d healthy.<br /><br />March 11 – Outdoor Explorers – T2T<br /><br />Campers
  will get a chance to participate in Tree to Tree Adventures. Then they wil
 l learn how to stay safe while exploring nature. We will learn how to build
  a campfire and enjoy the sounds of nature.<br /><br />Tree to Tree Adventu
 re Camps: Parents must complete the Tree-to-Tree e-zwaiver prior to day cam
 p. Children 41” – 60” tall may use the TREEmendous Adventures Course, $15 p
 er child. Children at least 54” tall may use the Canopy Crossing Course, $2
 5 per child. You will receive an email closer to the start of camp to pay t
 his fee.<br />****Fees are in addition to the camp fee.  Tree to Tree waive
 rs must be filled out each time your child participates in the course.<br /
 ><br />March 12 – Histories Mysteries<br /><br />The Tallahassee Museum has
  a lot of history. Together we will explore the historic buildings, discove
 r the past, and learn what it was like to be a child in the 1880s.<br /><br
  />March 13 – Grossology<br /><br />Today we will be testing different slim
 es, learning about the digestive system, and play in the mud. Plan to get d
 irty and smelly!<br /><br />March 14 – Save the Florida Panther Day<br /><b
 r />The third Saturday in March is designated in statute as Save the Florid
 a Panther Day and is officially proclaimed each year by the Governor to ren
 ew Florida’s commitment to the conservation of its beloved state animal, th
 e elusive and endangered Florida panther. Together we will learn about the 
 Florida panther and get to see our resident panther, Buddha.<br /><br />Mar
 ch 17 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day<br /><br />Campers will learn the real hist
 ory of Saint Patrick. They will learn about shamrocks, paint with all thing
 s greens, and enjoy a Saint Patrick’s Day snack! Please let us know if your
  camper has any allergies or dietary restrictions.
