DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Welcome to the Tallahassee Museum’s camp program!  As a nationally accredit
 ed history and natural science museum, we are excited to bring science and 
 the arts, to life through engaging hands-on activities.  Our integrated app
 roach implements creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communic
 ation into each day’s lesson plan. From encounters with wildlife to explori
 ng cultural heritage, your child will have an enriching camp experience at 
 the Tallahassee Museum.\n\nDay camps are designed for Kindergarten – 5th gr
 aders.\n\nCamp is from 9am-4pm $60 members/$65 nonmember per day Extended c
 are is 7:45am-9am and 4pm-5:30pm for $8 per day\n\nMust register online. On
 line registration will close 72 hours before the start of camp. \n\nDaily C
 amp Themes:\nMarch 10 – Jr. Zoo Keeper\n\nCampers will learn what it is lik
 e to be a zookeeper. It is important to have knowledge about the animals an
 d know what makes them happy and healthy.\n\nMarch 11 – Outdoor Explorers –
  T2T\n\nCampers will get a chance to participate in Tree to Tree Adventures
 . Then they will learn how to stay safe while exploring nature. We will lea
 rn how to build a campfire and enjoy the sounds of nature.\n\nTree to Tree 
 Adventure Camps: Parents must complete the Tree-to-Tree e-zwaiver prior to 
 day camp. Children 41” – 60” tall may use the TREEmendous Adventures Course
 , $15 per child. Children at least 54” tall may use the Canopy Crossing Cou
 rse, $25 per child. You will receive an email closer to the start of camp t
 o pay this fee.\n****Fees are in addition to the camp fee.  Tree to Tree wa
 ivers must be filled out each time your child participates in the course.\n
 \nMarch 12 – Histories Mysteries\n\nThe Tallahassee Museum has a lot of his
 tory. Together we will explore the historic buildings, discover the past, a
 nd learn what it was like to be a child in the 1880s.\n\nMarch 13 – Grossol
 ogy\n\nToday we will be testing different slimes, learning about the digest
 ive system, and play in the mud. Plan to get dirty and smelly!\n\nMarch 14 
 – Save the Florida Panther Day\n\nThe third Saturday in March is designated
  in statute as Save the Florida Panther Day and is officially proclaimed ea
 ch year by the Governor to renew Florida’s commitment to the conservation o
 f its beloved state animal, the elusive and endangered Florida panther. Tog
 ether we will learn about the Florida panther and get to see our resident p
 anther, Buddha.\n\nMarch 17 – Happy St. Patrick’s Day\n\nCampers will learn
  the real history of Saint Patrick. They will learn about shamrocks, paint 
 with all things greens, and enjoy a Saint Patrick’s Day snack! Please let u
 s know if your camper has any allergies or dietary restrictions.
