LOCATION:Pebble Hill Plantation, U.S. 319, Thomasville, GA, USA
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Pebble Hill Plantation will join in the nationwide celebration of Take a Ch
ild Outside Week by hosting a free, family-friendly outdoor program at the
Pebble Hill Learning Center.

Held annually from September 24–30
, Take a Child Outside Week encourages children to engage in unstructured o
utdoor play while fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural environme
nt. The event at Pebble Hill will feature nature-themed activities, games,
and hands-on exploration designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

Take a Child Outside Week celebrates opportunities for children to ge
t outdoors and develop a better understanding of the environment in which t
hey live. We encourage families to come experience the joy of exploring nat
ure together. The benefits of outdoor play are well-documented—spending tim
e in nature can reduce stress and anxiety, improve cognitive abilities, and
 inspire creativity.

This year’s event draws inspiration from R
ichard Louv’s influential book Last Child in the Woods.
X-EXTRAINFO:Free admission is for the program, all materials, and Grounds tour access.
Main House tours are not included.
