LOCATION:Florida Historic Capitol Museum, 400 S Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:A Land Remembered: The Great Florida Cattle Drive Live Viewing
Crafts
and Snacks at 9:30 AM
Livestream viewing begins at 10 AM
Free and
 Open to the Public

Join us at the Florida Historic Capitol Muse
um for an interactive learning experience featuring one of Florida’s most e
xciting traditions: the Great Florida Cattle Drive! As part of a new curric
ulum from the University of Florida/IFAS Extension, students across the sta
te are learning about Florida’s early cattle ranching traditions by reading
Patrick Smith’s classic novel A Land Remembered. The students will then wa
tch real cowboys move cattle across the landscape while exploring wildlife,
ranch life, and land stewardship in action during a week of special shows
direct from the trail.

We’re offering you a front-row seat in th
e saddle during the livestream launch on January 26—enjoy craft activities
and free snacks while learning about Florida’s working lands, wild spaces,
and the food they provide. While the hands-on activities are recommended fo
r early readers and young agriculture enthusiasts aged 8 – 12, learners of
all ages are welcome.
