DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:With the 2026 hurricane season imminent, June 1 to November 30, the City of
  Tallahassee is preparing now to weather possible storms and urging residen
 ts to do the same. Personal preparedness can enhance safety and ease the re
 covery process.\n\nTo guide residents through planning, the City of Tallaha
 ssee will host three free community workshops as part of its Plan for Readi
 ness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) program. Attendees will hear from lo
 cal experts about what supplies to have on hand; steps to take to protect p
 eople, pets and property; and available resources that can help residents p
 repare.\n\nThe sessions will be held on designated Tuesdays, in person, fro
 m 6-8 p.m. Doors for each session will open at 5 p.m. to allow attendees th
 e opportunity to visit community partner tables for additional valuable inf

 ad\nFor the three community workshops (May 12, May 26 and June 16), a youth
  component will also be available, featuring fun, age-appropriate activitie
 s and interactive learning about disaster preparedness. We encourage you to
  bring the whole family and make it a night of learning together. Youth wil
 l have their own space, supervised by dedicated City staff, to explore hand
 s-on lessons about staying safe before, during and after emergencies while 
 adults take part in the main workshop.
