DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:With the 2026 hurricane season imminent, June 1 to November 30, the City of
  Tallahassee is preparing now to weather possible storms and urging residen
 ts to do the same. Personal preparedness can enhance safety and ease the re
 covery process.<br /><br />To guide residents through planning, the City of
  Tallahassee will host three free community workshops as part of its Plan f
 or Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) program. Attendees will hear
  from local experts about what supplies to have on hand; steps to take to p
 rotect people, pets and property; and available resources that can help res
 idents prepare.<br /><br />The sessions will be held on designated Tuesdays
 , in person, from 6-8 p.m. Doors for each session will open at 5 p.m. to al
 low attendees the opportunity to visit community partner tables for additio
 nal valuable information. The workshop schedule is below.<br /><br />May 12

 May 12, May 26 and June 16), a youth component will also be available, feat
 uring fun, age-appropriate activities and interactive learning about disast
 er preparedness. We encourage you to bring the whole family and make it a n
 ight of learning together. Youth will have their own space, supervised by d
 edicated City staff, to explore hands-on lessons about staying safe before,
  during and after emergencies while adults take part in the main workshop.
