 raveling Circus. <br /><br />Tallahassee community contra dances are in ful
 l swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is an upbeat
 , beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares many move
 s with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danc
 ed in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers”) vary each
  night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner
 . Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of the nig
 ht, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a short break mid
 -way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfortable
  clothes and flat shoes.
