 rlis will be calling the dances, and In Cahoots is conspiring to play us so
 me sensational old-time tunes. \n\nTallahassee community contra dances are 
 in full swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is an 
 upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares man
 y moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and i
 s danced in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers”) var
 y each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a p
 artner. Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of t
 he night, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a short bre
 ak mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfo
 rtable clothes and flat shoes.
