 e sensational old-time tunes. <br /><br />Tallahassee community contra danc
 es are in full swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing
  is a wholesome, upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ag
 es. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner an
 d do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. Bands and instructor
 s (“callers”) vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t 
 need to bring a partner. Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, an
 d by the end of the night, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! Th
 ere’s a short break mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and social
 izing. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
