 e sensational old-time tunes. \n\nTallahassee community contra dances are i
 n full swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is a wh
 olesome, upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It s
 hares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-
 do) and is danced in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“call
 ers”) vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to 
 bring a partner. Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the
  end of the night, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a 
 short break mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. W
 ear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
