  St. Pete will be calling the dances to the live tunes of The Runaway Biscu
 its. <br /><br />Tallahassee community contra dances are in full swing the 
 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is a wholesome, upbeat, 
 beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares many moves 
 with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced
  in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers”) vary each n
 ight. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. 
 Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of the night
 , you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a short break mid-w
 ay through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfortable c
 lothes and flat shoes.
