  St. Pete will be calling the dances to the live tunes of The Runaway Biscu
 its. \n\nTallahassee community contra dances are in full swing the 2nd and 
 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is a wholesome, upbeat, beginner
 -friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares many moves with squ
 are dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long
  lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers”) vary each night. No
  dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Arrive i
 n time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of the night, you’ll
  have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a short break mid-way throu
 gh the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfortable clothes a
 nd flat shoes.
