 s Mystic Gorillas. <br /><br />Tallahassee community contra dances are in f
 ull swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of most months! Contra dancing is a whole
 some, upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shar
 es many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do)
  and is danced in long lines to live music. Bands and instructors (“callers
 ”) vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bri
 ng a partner. Arrive in time for the Beginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the en
 d of the night, you’ll have danced with everyone in the room! There’s a sho
 rt break mid-way through the night for sharing snacks and socializing. Wear
  comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
