 ssee community contra dances are in full swing the 2nd and 4th Fridays of m
 ost months! Contra dancing is a wholesome, upbeat, beginner-friendly Americ
 an social dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (suc
 h as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live m
 usic. Bands and instructors (“callers”) vary each night. No dance experienc
 e is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Arrive in time for the B
 eginner Lesson at 7:15, and by the end of the night, you’ll have danced wit
 h everyone in the room! There’s a short break mid-way through the night for
  sharing snacks and socializing. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
