SUMMARY:Fall Bird Walk with Birdsong Nature Center
LOCATION:2155 Meridian Rd, Thomasville, GA 31792
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us for an early fall morning bird walk at Birdsong Nature Center with
volunteer leaders Charlie and Cindy Baisden. We will visit a variety of hab
itats, such as the old field/pond edge by the Farm Pond, and \nmixed pine a
nd hardwood forest along the north side of Big Bay Swamp. Our goal will be
to spot migrating species heading south and returning winter residents suc
 h as Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Ruby-crowned \nKinglets, and various wood
warblers, vireos, and sparrows. At the conclusion of the walk, we will want
to visit the Bird Window, offering an opportunity to observe up close some
of the species we observed during \nthe walk. The program should run abou
t 2 hours, and we will probably walk about 1.5 to 2.0 miles. If you are in
terested in learning about fall migrants that are common to South Georgia a
nd North Florida, please join us on September 26th. \nDress for the weathe
r, bring sun protection, and prepare for a walk through the woods and field
s of Birdsong. You may want to bring water, binoculars, field guides, and
 insect repellant with you. \n
X-EXTRAINFO:RESERVATIONS, PLEASE. Call by noon on Friday, September 25th to reserve yo
 ur space.
