Come celebrate the historic landing of InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) at the Challenger Learning Center with a live viewing and Mars themed activities for people of all ages. InSight is the first robotic explorer to study in-depth the “inner space” of Mars: its crust, mantle and core. The InSight mission seeks to uncover how a rocky body forms and evolves to become a planet by investigating the interior structure and composition of Mars.
The mission will also determine the rate of Martian tectonic activity and meteorite impacts. We look forward to seeing you on November 26th; seats for the viewing of the live landing are limited and will be on a first-come, first seated basis.
