About the book:
Officer Buckle loves giving safety assemblies, but he’s terribly boring. Then one day, Gloria the police dog tags along and acts out the tips behind Officer Buckle’s back. The students laugh and cheer, and Officer Buckle thinks he’s a hit… until he finds out who’s really stealing the show!
About Deputy Bragg and K9 Ghost:
Adam Bragg has been with the Sheriff’s Office for fourteen (14) years and has been with the canine unit for the past nine (9) years. He is currently the Unit Trainer and has held the position for the past six (6) years.
He and his first K9 Partner “Loki” were a certified K9 team from February 2015 to March 2020. During this time, Loki had approximately thirty tracks and catches, several suspect apprehensions, and multiple positive narcotic alerts where narcotics were found.
K9 Ghost is his second working K9. They have been a certified K9 team since June 2020. Ghost is a certified apprehension and narcotics detection dog. They hold two state certifications: FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) and FLECA (Florida Law Enforcement Canine Association). Ghost is certified in the following narcotics: crack cocaine, cocaine HCL, heroin, meth, and MDMA. Their duties as a K9 team consist of tracking, apprehension of felony suspects, area searches, building searches, evidence searches, and narcotic sniffs. To date, Ghost has nine (9) tracks and catches and multiple positive narcotic alerts where narcotics were found.
