KIDTOWN: Guest Speaker Tallahassee Memorial Animal Therapy

In honor of animal therapy month, we are excited to invite Tallahassee Memorial Animal Therapy to a Midtown Reader Kidtown Story Hour alongside their R.E.A.D.s program.
We will be reading Madeline Finn and the Therapy Dog!
About the Book:
Madeline Finn and Star are off to Walker Oaks, a retirement community where Star will take his tests to become a therapy dog. Accompanied by Mom, Mrs. Dimple and Bonnie the library dog, Madeline and Star make their way through a variety of challenges and meet several new friends.
But Madeline Finn can’t stop thinking about an elderly man in a wheelchair who never smiles. Is there something she and Star can do to help?

The Tallahassee Memorial Animal Therapy, Tallahassee R.E.A.D.s ® program is dedicated to improving children’s literacy skills through certified handler animal teams. This permission form allows your child to participate in the Tallahassee R.E.A.D.s® sessions, in person and/or virtually conducted via Zoom, and for his/her photographic image to be used in publications, displays, or for broadcasting on TV, radio, or the internet.
