Is your child passionate about the environment and ready to make a difference? Come participate in our Family Invasive Plant Removal Day! This event offers a fantastic opportunity for youth to learn about local ecosystems, identify common invasive species, and the importance of conserving our native biodiversity. Please note that Brickley Glen does not have any bathroom facilities.

How to register? All adults and children in your family must register through 4-H online to participate.

Why join us: Invasive plant species can severely disrupt local ecosystems and the local food chain by outcompeting native plant hosts on which certain bird species rely for food and nesting. These invasive plants often grow more rapidly and aggressively, monopolizing resources like sunlight, water, and soil nutrients. As a result, native plants decline, reducing the availability of seeds, fruits, and insects that many native bird and other animal species feed on. This can lead to a decrease in native animal populations, as they struggle to find adequate food and nesting sites. Learn more about how you can garden with wildlife in mind.
