Welcome to Gulf Specimen Marine Lab’s immersive summer camp experience! Nestled along the picturesque shores of the Gulf of Mexico, our camp offers children an exciting opportunity to dive deep into the wonders of marine life while exploring the vibrant ecosystem of the Gulf.

At Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, our summer camp is more than just a typical camp – it’s an adventure of discovery and learning. Each day is filled with hands-on activities, engaging lessons, and exciting adventures that allow campers to explore the diverse array of creatures that call the Gulf home.

From nurse sharks to colorful sponges, our campers will have the chance to learn about and interact with a wide variety of marine life. Guided by experienced marine educators, campers will embark on exploratory journeys to uncover the secrets of the sea, discovering the fascinating adaptations and behaviors of marine creatures along the way.

One of the highlights of our summer camp experience is the opportunity for campers to step into the shoes of an aquarist. Through interactive workshops and behind-the-scenes tours, campers will gain insight into the daily responsibilities of caring for marine animals, from feeding and habitat maintenance to water quality testing and animal enrichment.

Whether it’s getting up close and personal with sea turtles, observing the delicate dance of seahorses, or exploring the intricate ecosystems of tidal pools, our campers will come away with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and complexity of marine life.
