South City Head Start is operated by the Capital Area Community Action Agency and provides comprehensive early childhood education and school readiness services for children ages 3 to 5.
The Head Start program supports children's cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development through developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Enrolled children and families also have access to health and nutrition services, developmental support, and family engagement resources.
South City Head Start also participates in Florida's Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) and School Readiness programs. Head Start enrollment is based on federal eligibility requirements and family need.
