FAMU Educational Research Center for Child Development

FAMU’s Educational Research Center for Child Development (ERCCD) provides a safe, nurturing and culturally rich learning environment where children can develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually. Founded in 1989 as New Beginnings Child Development Center, ERCCD also serves as a resource facility for early childhood education, practical student experience, community service and research.

ERCCD provides care and education for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, Florida VPK, VPK wrap-around care and school-age programming. The center is a Florida licensed childcare facility and participates in School Readiness and VPK through the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend.
