Arts for Life! recognizes the creativity and artistic talents of graduating high school seniors throughout Florida. Each year, the program awards $2,000 scholarships to 35 Florida seniors who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or visual art.
Students graduating from public, private, charter or virtual schools, as well as home education programs, may apply. Applicants submit an essay and portfolio or work samples in their chosen artistic discipline, and recipients are selected by panels of arts professionals.
Arts for Life! was founded by former Florida First Lady Columba Bush in 1999 and has awarded more than 675 scholarships to Florida students. Application dates and requirements are updated annually on the program website.
