Florida State Elks Association Scholarships

The Florida State Elks Association offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to Florida students pursuing college, university, vocational and technical education.

The C. Valentine Bates Memorial HOPE Scholarship supports graduating Florida high school seniors with an unweighted GPA of 2.30-3.59 who demonstrate financial need, leadership, community service and perseverance. Awards currently range from $3,000 to $20,000.

The Albertus “Boots” & Eleanor Van Duren Memorial Scholarship supports eligible graduating high school and homeschool seniors and current college students who have worked at the Florida Elks Youth Camp. Additional Florida Elks scholarship opportunities are available for students pursuing physical or occupational therapy and through programs such as JROTC, Civil Air Patrol and Elks National Foundation scholarships.

Scholarship eligibility, award amounts and deadlines vary by program. For the 2027 cycle, applications for the HOPE Scholarship opened August 1, 2026 and are due January 15, 2027. Van Duren applications open September 1, 2026 and are also due January 15, 2027.
