Florida Youth Foundation - Youth Investment Awards

The Florida Youth Foundation’s Youth Investment Award (YIA) provides educational and workforce assistance to youth who are currently or were previously served by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

Awards help with essential needs related to academic achievement or workforce readiness when those needs cannot be met through other available resources. Assistance may include post-secondary tuition, GED testing fees, educational supplies, transportation, employment-related expenses and other resources that help young people continue their education or prepare for employment.

Funding is generally paid directly to the school, business or other vendor providing the approved service or item. Applications are available through the Florida Youth Foundation website.

Eligibility is limited to youth who are or were served by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
