

Gulf Winds Credit Union offers renewable scholarships to members pursuing college, university, trade school and medical-field education.
The scholarship program currently includes three Incoming Higher Education Scholarships for first-year college students, the Rex Burt Trade School Scholarship for students entering a trade program, and the Micah Williams Memorial Scholarship for students already enrolled in a degree-seeking medical-field program.
Applicants must be primary members of Gulf Winds Credit Union at the time they apply. Incoming higher education scholarships provide up to $1,250 per semester for as many as eight consecutive fall and spring semesters. The Rex Burt Trade School Scholarship provides up to $1,250 per semester for as many as four consecutive semesters. The Micah Williams Memorial Scholarship provides up to $1,250 per semester for as many as eight semesters and requires at least 12 completed post-secondary credit hours.
Gulf Winds awarded five scholarships worth up to $45,000 total in 2026. The 2026 application period has closed; families should check the website for details about the 2027 scholarship cycle.
