Leon County Schools Home Education Services

Leon County Schools Home Education Services provides information, registration and support for families who choose to establish a home education program in Leon County.

Home education is parent-directed, allowing families to select their own curriculum, educational materials and learning approach. Parents who establish a Florida home education program must submit a written notice of intent to the school district and are responsible for maintaining required records and submitting an annual evaluation showing educational progress.

The Leon County Home Education office provides forms and information for notices of intent, annual evaluations, termination of home education, state testing, high school completion, dual enrollment and other homeschool-related requirements and opportunities.
