Camp Summer Garden’s Afterschool Social Skills Squad provides a supportive, small-group afterschool environment where children can build social, emotional, academic, and life skills through play and hands-on activities.
The program is especially supportive for children with autism or developmental differences, speech or language delays, difficulty with transitions or group settings, or those who benefit from additional social-emotional and adult support.
Activities include social-skills development, literacy enrichment, STEM exploration, creative projects, homework support, outdoor play, and play-based learning. Children practice communication, teamwork, friendship skills, emotional regulation, self-control, cooperation, and problem-solving.
The program meets Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m. during the school year at Element3 Church. An afternoon snack or meal and program materials are included. Scholarships and discounted rates are available for qualifying families.
