This 103 foot iron and steel structure is the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast. It was built in 1895 to guide ships through East Pass between Dog Island and St. George Island and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The reconstructed Keeper’s House is a museum that features the Crooked River Lighthouse's historic bi-valve Fresnel lens, history and science exhibits, artifacts, and a gift shop.
Park grounds, including picnic and playground area, are open dawn to dusk.
Museum hours: W-F, 11-5; Sat, 9-5; and Sun 1-5.
Climbs available W-F, 11-4; Sat, 9-4; and Sun, 1-4. $5 for adults (age 13+), $3 for youth (6-12 yrs), and free for children (5 & under). Must be 44 inches or taller to climb.
The park picnic area features picnic tables, a picnic shelter and a small playground. Rebuilding of the large wooden Pirate Ship playground is underway.
