Contra Dance Tallahassee

Contra dancing is a wholesome, fun, beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages! It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music.

Beginners welcome, you don't need to bring a partner. We start at 7:15 pm with a Beginner Orientation, and those new to contra dancing are strongly encouraged to attend. We ask experienced dancers to participate as well, to help out Beginners. Dancing starts at 7:30 pm, and dances are taught in more detail early in the evening. First-time dancers get their second dance free!

Currently, Tallahassee dances are two and a half hours long, with a 10 minute break. Bring snacks to share!

$10 Adults, $9 Seniors, $6 Students, Kids under 12 free
