American Safety Institute - Florida Online Driver Education

American Safety Institute offers an online Florida Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course for teens preparing to earn their first learner’s permit or driver license.

The state-approved 6-hour course covers Florida traffic laws, road signs, defensive driving, impaired driving awareness, sharing the road, and other safe-driving topics. Students can complete the course online at their own pace from home.

Florida requires qualifying first-time drivers under age 18 to complete the DETS course before obtaining a learner’s license. Visit American Safety Institute for current course pricing, enrollment information, and requirements.
