The Museum of Florida History offers quality educational programs for all ages. All programs meet Florida standards, promoting critical thinking skills, and include multidisciplinary activities that enhance skills assessed through standardized testing.
Outreach Programs:
Our trained educators will come to your classroom to present dynamic school programs. These engaging hands-on programs encourage your students to think critically, cooperate in a group setting, and to understand Florida's diverse and provocative past.
These programs are available to all schools in Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, Liberty, and Jefferson Counties. Programs last between 45 minutes and 1 hour and cost $1 per student. Fees can be waived based on special circumstances.
MUSEUM IS TEMPORARY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS:
During our temporary closure, the Museum of Florida History will become a Museum on the Move! This multifaceted initiative will allow the public to continue to engage with the Museum and take advantage of its unique learning opportunities, access its vast educational materials, and participate in engaging programs.
The program will offer access to the Museum of Florida History's unique resources and staff expertise through a variety of avenues. Hands-on activities, online resources and programs, lectures, educational outreach, and even exhibits and displays at off-site locations will all be a part of the Museum on the Move program.
