St. John's Choir School

An initiative of St. John’s 2019-2024 Strategic Plan, the St. John’s Choir School has expanded the parish’s long-standing chorister program into an intensive music and formational program for all children K-12, regardless of means or background. This program features three-day-a-week offerings of choral rehearsal, music theory instruction, and instrumental lessons, completely tuition-free.

Launched in August of 2023, the Choir School (incorporating the K-2nd grade “Joyful Noisemakers” and the 3rd-12th grade “Choristers”) provides additional opportunities for children to deepen their musical understanding, learn the importance of service to others, and interact in a safe and supportive intergenerational setting.
