We are Tallahassee’s first forest school. We believe that children learn best through direct experience with the natural world. We give children the time and space to do their work which is PLAY! In return, nature will work on your children physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Our curriculum is child-led and hands on. Children will explore, take risks, build, make observations….and along the way they will build strong relationships which each other and the earth, develop a passion for learning and gain skills necessary to get them ready for the years of schooling ahead of them.
Roots Caregiver and Me Class:
This class is designed for children under 3 years old. It is held on the campus of Into The Woods Playschool located at 8551 Buck Lake Rd. Spending time in nature has proven to help kids develop critical early learning skills like focus, persistence, creativity, problem-solving, empathy, and communication. Our goal is to provide a place where children and their caregivers can connect with nature, each other, and build a foundation to become lifelong learners and nature lovers.
The Caregiver and Me class is held on Thursdays 10:00-12:00 PM. Cost is $20 drop in fee per week or four weeks for $60. Please call to reserve your child's spot.
