Scouting America

Scouting America provides youth with opportunities to build character, leadership skills, confidence, citizenship, and personal fitness through outdoor adventures, service projects, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate programs.

The Suwannee River Area Council serves youth and families throughout Florida's Big Bend and Georgia's Wiregrass region. Local programs include Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Exploring, and other Scouting opportunities designed for different ages and interests.

Scouting programs operate throughout the year, with meeting schedules, activities, costs, and eligibility varying by local unit. Financial assistance may be available to help qualifying families with registration fees, uniforms, handbooks, camps, and other Scouting expenses.
