Florida State Parks Volunteering

Florida State Parks offers volunteer opportunities throughout the state for individuals, families, students, community groups, and organizations. Volunteers help protect and enhance Florida's parks while gaining hands-on experience and giving back to their communities.

Individual opportunities may include greeting visitors, assisting with tours and special events, maintaining trails and park facilities, removing invasive plants, supporting natural and cultural resource projects, and other park needs. Family, school, scouting, church, civic, corporate, and other groups can also participate in short-term service projects such as beach cleanups, trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, and special events.

People of all ages may volunteer. Youth ages 14-17 may volunteer in accordance with Florida child labor requirements and must have a parent or guardian sign the required volunteer agreement. Children age 13 and younger may volunteer when accompanied by a parent or guardian or when participating in an appropriately supervised youth organization or group project.
