United Way of the Big Bend Volunteering

United Way of the Big Bend offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for people who want to make a difference throughout Tallahassee and the surrounding Big Bend region.

Opportunities may include mentoring students through ReadingPals and MathPals, helping with community education programs and special events, assisting with office or internship projects, and volunteering with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. High school students may qualify for select volunteer roles, including VITA client greeter and appointment scheduling opportunities.

Volunteer schedules, locations, age requirements, training, and time commitments vary by program. Some opportunities are seasonal while others are available throughout the school year or year-round.
