Sugar and spice and all things nice are in store during the Leon County Public Library's Sixth Annual Community Gingerbread House Competition! Put your design skills to the test in this family-friendly competition for a chance to win prizes. Everyone is welcome to attend, view the houses, enjoy refreshments, and participate in hands-on activities. Registration is required to compete, opening on Saturday, November 23, at 8 a.m., and closing on Friday, December 6, at 1 p.m.
Winners will be selected from six divisions:
Child (0 to 5 years old)
Child (6 to 11 years old)
Teen (11 to 17 years old)
Adult (18 and older)

Tallahassee-Leon County Bicentennial (celebrate history with gingerbread!)
Attendees can also vote for their favorite house to win the People's Choice award.
Gingerbread houses must be 100% edible but may include lighting. Kits are allowed. Participants must drop off their houses at the Leon County Main Library on Saturday, December 7, between 11 a.m. and noon. The event opens to the public at 1 p.m., with the awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Houses must be picked up that day between 3 and 4 p.m.
