07/04: Monticello 4th of July Celebration

We are planning a 250th celebration, culminating in events on the weekend of July 4th. They include (in chronological order) a children’s patriotic writing contest, a children’s coloring contest, a residential porch decorations contest, a business storefront decorations contest, downtown flag decorations, individual “Fly Your American Flag” campaign, a tribute at the Monticello Opera House on Friday evening, and a July 4th Fireworks and Celebration at Memorial Field (our football field, which was named for Monticello’s residents killed in World War II.)
