Visitors can enjoy an expanded Country “Super” Market, local food vendors, a car show from 10-2, and a fish and nature printing activity. That evening, the celebration continues with Twilight at the Tower from 5-8 pm with live music by The Waterbirds, an outdoor movie and a glowing bonfire under the beautiful Snow Moon. Tower climbs, the Keeper’s House Museum including the 1894 Fresnel Lens exhibit, and the lighthouse gift shop will be open during both the day and evening activities.
The Country ‘Super’ Market will feature regional arts and crafts, coastal décor, art, jewelry, bags, organic, farm-fresh produce and eggs, grass-fed beef, locally roasted coffee, and hot sauces. Visitors can also discover soaps, candles, balms, local books, and tumblers. Treats like artisan breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and candied nuts are sure to be a favorite. Nautical gifts and souvenirs are for sale in the gift shop.
10AM - 2PM Car Show
5PM - 8PM Twilight at the Tower
The Carrabelle Artist Association will offer a Fish and Nature Printing activity where participants can create their own nautical or nature-inspired artwork on rice paper, a tea towel, or a personal item they bring. Cost is $20, which includes materials and instruction, and can be purchased at the Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce, the lighthouse gift shop, or Ticketleap.
For Park Fest, tower climbs - day and evening - will be a special price of $5 for ages 13 and up. Children 12 and under are free with an adult and must be at least 44 inches tall. Current members also climb free. Climbers are rewarded with amazing panoramic views from the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast. Guests can also enjoy free entry to the Keeper’s House Museum to explore several exhibits and to view the original 4th Order Fresnel Lens, crafted in Paris in 1894. Climb tickets are available in the gift shop.
As darkness falls, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the golden sunset and the rising Snow Moon during Twilight at the Tower from 5 pm to 8 pm. The evening features an outdoor movie, live music, after-hours museum tours, glowing bonfire, and browsing in the gift shop. Live music by The Waterbirds on the Pirate Ship stage will bring a lively mix of reggae, folk, jazz, rock, blues, and original songs. This will be a night of fantastic music and full moon magic, and guests are welcome to bring a chair and relax as the sky shifts from watercolor tones to evening blues.
Proceeds from tower climbs, admission and donations benefit the maintenance of Crooked River Lighthouse Park.
