Calendar & Newsletter Coordinator (Part-Time, Remote)

Pay: $15 per hour
Schedule: Part-time with a consistent weekly schedule. Averages 8-10 hours/week, additional hours will be required during peak season (September - early December).

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member to help keep our event calendar, holiday content, and weekly email newsletter accurate, timely, and well-organized.

This role focuses on content organization and accuracy rather than creative writing and is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work and clear processes.

What You’ll Do

Event Calendar Management

  • Search for upcoming family-friendly events and add them to our online calendar.
  • Review and publish events submitted through our website.
  • Ensure event listings are accurate, complete, and properly categorized.

Holiday & Seasonal Pages

  • Update and maintain holiday-related pages within our directory.
  • Update seasonal content to reflect current dates, offerings, and local relevance.

Weekly Email Newsletter

  • Assemble and format the weekly email newsletter using provided tools and templates.
  • Select events and content to include based on the upcoming calendar.
  • Schedule and send newsletters consistently and on time.

Content Accuracy & Quality Control

  • Follow established processes and franchise guidelines.
  • Communicate with the owner regarding questions, missing information, or discrepancies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Must live in Leon County.
  • Extremely reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Able to follow systems and checklists without constant supervision.
  • Good written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy over creativity.
  • Must be dependable and able to adjust availability during busier seasons.

Social Media Manager (Part-Time, Remote)

Location: Fully Remote
Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay: $450/month (Averages 6–8 hours/week)

Position Overview

The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, scheduling, and posting content across our social media channels.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, scheduling, and engagement rather than heavy content production or strategy work. You will be working with guidelines and examples provided, and training on tools and processes will be given.

This is a part-time role, averaging 6–8 hours per week, with flexibility to complete work during hours that fit your schedule, but consistency is required

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and publish at least 4 posts per day on Facebook following provided brand guidelines
  • Publish at least 1 Instagram post per day; content can overlap with Facebook posts when appropriate.
  • Create and edit simple graphics or photos. Video editing experience is a plus.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages, and foster community engagement.
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Track engagement metrics and provide basic updates or reports.

What We’re Looking For

  • Must live in the market.
  • Extremely reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency; able to follow guidelines carefully.
  • Organized and able to plan content in batches to meet daily posting requirements within weekly hours.
  • Comfortable using basic content creation tools (Canva, photo editors, etc.).
  • Good written communication skills, focused on clarity and accuracy.
  • Ability to commit 6–8 hours per week consistently, including maintaining daily posting requirements.
  • Minor flexibility may be needed for special promotions or events.
