Roseland Cemetery Tour
In the dark of night, we venture into Monticello’s historic Roseland Cemetery, the place where the bodies of many of the Victorian era citizens are laid to rest. Their spirits might linger in town, but we can explore their burial sites, hear their stories, learn about Victorian funerary art.
Home to Indian Mounds and many historic buildings, Monticello has a reputation for being the most haunted small town in the South. Superstitious tourists, history lovers, and supernatural hobbyists have enjoyed the history and haunts of Monticello. As the South’s most haunted town, Monticello’s ghostly experiences aren’t limited to the month of October or Halloween. Visitors can count on hair-raising tours and events year-round.
Tales From Beyond Magic
The Magic of Story and Stories of Magic bring together famed magician Clyde Chicainery and award-winning storyteller, Linda Schuyler Ford.
Two artists, two art forms are combined for a captivating night of both magic tricks and oral storytelling…..with a dark twist.
Ghostly walking tours are also scheduled in the weeks leading up to and including Halloween night. These tours begin at the Chamber of Commerce and wind through town with more than a dozen stops at haunted sites along the way. You’ll certainly want to purchase your tickets for this event in advance.
