This two-day beginning blacksmith workshop will be held at the Museum’s smithy with instructor Michael Murphy, the Museum’s resident blacksmith. This workshop is for people with little to no blacksmith experience. Each person will have the opportunity to work with the traditional coal-burning forge, as well as the more modern propane-burning forge. Materials will be provided and participants may take their creations with them at the end of the day.
Please be aware that this is a physically demanding program.
*This is an outdoor workshop
* All participants must be at least 14 years of age. All participants under 16 must have adult supervision (chaperone does not need to register if they’d only like to watch).
Registration deadline: January 31, noon
