Tallahassee is home to a number of extracurricular STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities and summer camps, many of which are available free of charge or provide need-based scholarships. Conveniently, many of these programs are accessible via public transportation.
Beyond our in-house summer camps, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory helps Tallahassee South Side residents discover the right STEM activities through its annual Neighborhood Camp and Internship Fair for grades 6-12.
The Summer Internship Fair focuses on middle and high school students, highlighting summer internships and pre-college summer programs at institutions like TCC, FSU, and FAMU.
The Neighborhood Camp Fairs are free and open to the public, with vendor participation also free of charge.
