Take a Child Outside Day on Halloween at Birdsong Nature Center

• Cost: $6 Friends, $9 nonmembers, children half-price.

Bring your favorite child to Birdsong and enjoy a natural Halloween in the woods at Birdsong! Each child will receive a collecting bag and leaders Sandra Sallee and Carolyn Cohen will take the group out on a natural treasure hunt to discover what Mother Nature has to offer - we are sure it will be all treats! This is harvest time, with nuts, berries and leaves in profusion. Back at the Barn turn your child’s imagination loose to create a Halloween craft item or special gift for someone with the interesting materials they have collected. Halloween costumes are encouraged and there will be door prizes for all kids! Be prepared: there will be photos taken! Cookies and lemonade provided.
