Valentine's Contra Dance feat. Vicki Morrison and Larry Unger and Friends

Join us Feb. 13 for a contra dance! Vicki Morrison will call the dances to live tunes by Larry Unger & Friends. Singles, couples, and families alike will enjoy this fun, heart-filled community dance.
Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly American social dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. The bands and callers vary each night. No dance experience is needed and you don’t need to bring a partner. Those new to contra dancing are strongly encouraged to come by 7:15 when a Beginner Lesson will be taught, and as dances are taught in more detail early in the evening. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
In honor of Valentine’s Day we’ll have a chocolate fountain flowing, and dancers are encouraged to bring dippable items to share (fruit, marshmallows, baked goods, etc.). Wear red or pink too if you feel so inclined!

Admission cost: $10 for Adults, $9 Seniors over 50, $6 for Students, Free for Kids under 12. Admission is payable by cash, check, or card at the door. Newcomers get in to your 2nd dance free!
