Join the Florida Municipal Electric Association and the City of Tallahassee in commemorating 25 years of excellence and in strengthening the future of those who power our everyday lives. Since 2001, the Florida Lineman Competition has been the premier event where public power lineworkers from across the region showcase their unmatched skill, dedication and mastery in the craft of line work. What began as a small friendly contest has grown into a revered annual tradition that honors these essential workers who keep our communities powered, resilient and safe.
The main Competition is free and open to the public on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The Opening Ceremony is at 7:30 a.m., followed by multiple competition events beginning at 8:15 a.m. and running until all competitors complete their events mid-afternoon. The family-friendly Florida Lineman Competition also features a Kids’ Zone for all future lineworkers and kids in attendance. Local food trucks will be on-site offering their menus to competition-goers for a charge.
Parking is at the Apalachee Regional Park and is complimentary for spectators. For more information, visit https://www.flpublicpower.com/events/2026-florida-lineman-competition.
